Description
Zenovia Marden, eldest princess of the Kingdom of Marden with light blue hair and gray eyes, faced her father King Fyshtarre's disappointment at her birth due to her gender. This resulted in her sequestration within a royal villa, denying her political education.

During Cavarin's assault on the capital, she escaped with aid from her father's retainer, Jiva. She then adopted the identity of her brother, Helmut, forming a rebellion to reclaim Marden. Operating under the military alias "Zeno," she publicly served as an aide to the fictional Crown Prince Helmuth while commanding the resistance.

Approximately one year after Marden's fall, Zenovia rescued Prince Wein Salema Arbalest of Natra from assassins. In exchange for his support gathering allies for her rebellion, she accompanied him to a holy festival in Cavarin, where the indifference of other nations to Marden's fate affected her. Wein proposed an alliance: her assistance quelling a Natran rebellion in return for his aid recapturing Marden, which she accepted.

During the campaign to retake Marden's capital, Zenovia faked the death of her "Zeno" persona. This allowed her to publicly assume Marden's leadership as princess. To secure long-term stability and prevent Natra from exploiting Marden solely as a strategic buffer, she formally established Marden as Natra's vassal state. This obligation ensured Natra provided protection against future invasions.

Zenovia openly acknowledges her initial lack of political expertise stemming from her father's prohibitions. She aggressively studies while performing her duties as ruler, governing with pragmatic statecraft and alliance management learned from Wein.

Discrimination against women within the western territories' societal structures, reinforced by religious teachings discouraging female leadership, necessitated her initial male disguise. Her transition to ruling openly as a princess marks a key point in her personal journey and Marden's political identity.
