Description
Kokona Kyan is the youngest of the three Kyan sisters and lives with her grandmother and older sisters in Okinawa, where she attends elementary school. She has brown hair and brown eyes and was born on April 8. Her most distinctive trait is a strong innate ability to sense the presence of supernatural beings, allowing her to recognize spirits that others might not notice. This sensitivity makes her a key figure when the family’s daily life becomes intertwined with various spirits that appear after a seal is broken. Kokona is energetic, curious, and generally cheerful, approaching both ordinary activities and supernatural encounters with a childlike enthusiasm. She is deeply caring and empathetic, often showing concern for the well-being of her family and the spirits they meet. Her role in the story is that of a younger sister who, despite being the most attuned to the paranormal, remains grounded in her everyday routines such as school and time with her sisters. She shares a close bond with her older sister Nanafa, as well as with her grandmother and the spirits Iina, Niina, and Raana, who become part of the household. Over the course of the series, Kokona grows more accustomed to the supernatural occurrences around her, learning to trust her instincts and to use her ability to help those around her. Her primary motivations are rooted in maintaining harmony in her family, exploring her curiosity about the world, and enjoying the simple pleasures of childhood. Aside from her supernatural sensitivity, she exhibits no other special skills, but her perceptiveness and kindhearted nature make her an integral part of the Kyan family’s comedic and supernatural experiences.
