Description
Ryōta Suzukake is a senior staff member at Spa Resort Hawaiians, respected by his colleagues. He interacts with and supports new employees, like protagonist Hiwa Natsunagi, during their training to become hula dancers. Ryōta shares both positive and challenging moments with Hiwa and others, aiding their professional and personal development.
His connection to Hiwa's late sister, Mari—a former hula dancer at the resort who perished in the 2011 earthquake—forms a significant part of his character. Ryōta eventually departs from the company. His departure follows revealing to Hiwa that he knew her sister Mari.
