TV-Series
Description
Merci, also known by the designation ISDC5386292C4 Mainframe, is an artificial intelligence computer system created and operated by Doji during his time leading the Dark Nebula organization. It is not a human character but a highly advanced machine designed to assist Doji in his schemes. Merci first appears in the eighth episode of Beyblade: Metal Fusion, where it plays a key role in testing and gathering data on potential threats.

Merci possesses a synthesized voice and is capable of communicating in multiple languages, including Japanese, English, and French. Its primary function is to run simulations, analyze battle data, and execute traps set by Doji. It does not have a personality or emotions in the human sense, but it is programmed with a cold, calculating demeanor that serves the goals of its master. Merci's motivations are entirely derived from its programming; it exists to fulfill Doji's orders without question.

In the story, Merci is used by Doji to set a dangerous trap for Gingka Hagane, the series' main protagonist. Doji instructs Merci to create a fake television game show challenge designed to lure Gingka into a high-stakes beyblade battle under controlled conditions. The purpose of this trap is to test Gingka's skills and gather strategic data on his battling style and abilities. Merci operates the game show simulation, monitoring every move Gingka makes and reporting the results back to Doji. This episode demonstrates Doji's willingness to use technological deception to study his opponents.

Merci's role in the story is limited to this single episode, functioning as a tool rather than a recurring character. Its key relationships are defined by its function: it serves Doji as a loyal and obedient system, and it acts as an antagonist toward Gingka by facilitating the trap. Merci has no personal development, as it is a static piece of technology that does not grow or change over the course of the series.

The notable abilities of Merci include advanced data processing, multilingual communication, and the capacity to design and run complex simulated scenarios. It can analyze a blader's performance in real time and relay that information to its operator. While Merci is not a blader and does not engage in bey battles itself, its analytical capabilities make it a useful asset for the Dark Nebula's intelligence-gathering operations. After its trap is thwarted, Merci is not seen again, its purpose having been fulfilled within the narrow scope of Doji's plan.
