Description
Dak Sendo, known in the original Japanese version as Daiki Sendou, is a prominent character introduced as a rival and later an ally in the LBX narrative. He first appears as a skilled and notably arrogant LBX player, often seen as the leader of a high school gang in the city of Mysore. A distinctive trait of Sendo is his use of tarot cards, which he consults to make decisions and, in his own mind, to predict the future.

Physically, Sendo is recognized by his dark purple, spiky hair with a lighter purple highlight in the front, and his sharp purple eyes. In the first series, his typical attire consists of a brown long-sleeved jacket over a navy blue hoodie with purple trim, paired with dark gray pants. He is almost always seen carrying his set of tarot cards.

At the core of his personality is a profound selfishness and an unshakable belief in his own superiority. Sendo is extremely cocky, often acting only to fulfill his own needs without regard for others, and he harbors a grandiose illusion that he is famous and beloved. This arrogance leads him to confidently declare himself the strongest of all LBX players. However, this self-assurance is a double-edged sword; his primary battle strategy relies heavily on creating illusions, and when this tactic fails, he quickly loses focus and composure, often leading to his defeat. He is known by the nickname Magician in the Box, a reference to his deceptive and tricky combat style.

In the story, Sendo first proves his strength by defeating the formidable player Gouda with his LBX, Joker. Shortly after, he directly challenges the protagonist, Ban Yamano, overwhelming him with Jokers ability to create clones until the battle is interrupted. During the prestigious Artemis tournament, he dominates the preliminary rounds, facing Ban again before ultimately losing when Ban adapts to his speed-based illusions. Sendo continues to be a significant competitor in the tournament, also facing and losing to a player named Yujin, who forces him to sacrifice his teammates to no avail.

His role evolves during the Akihabara Kingdom competition, where he is forced to cooperate in a team with his former rival, Gouda. Their relationship is complex and described as abstruse, characterized by constant friction and Sendo's general disdain for partnership. Despite this, his selfish nature begins to show cracks as he ends up saving Gouda during a battle, demonstrating a reluctant shift towards teamwork.

This development continues into the W series, where he reluctantly teams up with Gouda once more for the Artemis tournament. They face a powerful opponent together, marking a significant step away from his lone-wolf persona. Later, his character is tested further when he becomes a slave player, forced to serve as the guardian for a master computer named Detector. He is eventually freed from this control by other main characters. By the climax of the W series, Sendo has fully transitioned into a dependable ally, fighting alongside the others to disable a massive enemy weapon so the main heroes can succeed.

Dak Sendos notable abilities as a player are centered on speed, trickery, and creating illusions. His primary LBXs reflect this strategy. Initially, he pilots Joker, a machine capable of generating multiple clones of itself to overwhelm and confuse opponents. When that tactic fails, he often falters. Later, he pilots the Nightmare, a Strider Frame-based LBX armed with a staff known as the Battle-Dream. Nightmare continues the theme of deceptive and rapid attacks, cementing Sendos reputation as a master of illusion-based combat in the LBX arena.
