Apeas, titled the “King’s Spear,” stands among the Big Four of the Bosse Kingdom. His imposing stature, elongated face, sharp nose, and piercing grey eyes command attention, as does his silver-white breastplate layered over khaki attire. A dark green half-cape edged with red fur completes his avian-inspired silhouette, evoking a raptor’s lethal grace. Once unwaveringly loyal to King Bosse, he upheld Bojji’s succession purely out of duty to the king’s decree. When Queen Hiling revoked Bosse’s order to crown Daida, Apeas abandoned his post, only to face assassination by Daida’s soldiers.
His allegiance later twisted toward Miranjo, his childhood mentor who forged his superhuman skills through merciless monster battles. Bound by debt, he aided her coup despite torment over betraying the kingdom. This internal conflict erupted in a duel against Bebin—ending in Bebin’s defeat—and a thwarted assassination attempt on Daida, stopped by Miranjo herself.
Freed from servitude by Miranjo, Apeas pursued redemption by challenging the immortal Ouken, a near-fatal act that left him broken until Hiling’s magic restored him. Rejoining the Big Four, he helped contain Ouken until Bosse intervened. Post-coup, he knelt before Bojji, seeking absolution; the merciful heir permitted him to remain in the kingdom’s service.
Apeas’ stoicism, born from guarding Bosse’s darkest secrets, concealed a buried vulnerability, glimpsed only in his fraught bond with Miranjo and his anguish over moral compromises. His unmatched spear mastery—honed through Miranjo’s brutal training—relies on agile, precise strikes, mirroring his calculated persona.
The name “Apeas” twists the word “spear,” echoing his title and weapon. His journey arcs from blind loyalty to fractured honor, culminating in a tenuous balance between duty and penance.
