Miranjo, the human form of the Magic Mirror, originates as a mage from the Houma Kingdom. She possesses black hair, black eyes, and pale skin. Sorcery partially shaped her original appearance to conceal disfigurement sustained during childhood torture, prompting her to adopt a dark green hooded cloak and robes. After her first body's death, her consciousness resided within a hexagonal mirror for roughly a decade before her original body was fully restored, the disfigurement apparently cured. Born to Houma Kingdom mages waging war against the Gods, Miranjo witnessed her father slain by the giant adventurer Bosse. Her mother later nursed Bosse back to health. Following an alliance between the Houma Kingdom and the Gyakuza Kingdom, her mother was killed. Miranjo herself endured brutal torture and disfigurement by Gyakuza villagers. Bosse rescued her, butchered her captors, and enlisted a surviving Houma mage to restore her body using the villagers' remains. This event forged a deep bond; Miranjo viewed Bosse as a surrogate father during their subsequent travels. Initially a kind and outgoing child, the trauma shattered Miranjo's psyche, leaving her catatonic and suicidal. Bosse's care helped her regain fragments of her former self, though she developed an intense, melancholic attachment to him. Her devotion to Bosse motivated her actions as a young adult, including orchestrating two coups against the Bosse Kingdom. She manipulated Bosse into a demon pact to augment his strength, facilitated his marriages to produce suitable heirs, and viewed his family as tools to extend their time together. This led her to betray allies like Queen Sheena, resulting in Sheena's death during the first coup. Miranjo's original body was also destroyed in this conflict, forcing her soul's transfer to the mirror via a demonic bargain. As the Magic Mirror, she manipulated Prince Daida under Bosse's direction, exploiting his trust to resurrect Bosse by transferring the giant's soul into Daida's body. She later freed six underworld prisoners—Zokku, Gigan, Black, Red, Kingbo, and Ouken—to stage a second coup, enabling them to seize the castle. This plan failed when Bosse intervened, leading to his final death and the mirror's destruction. Miranjo's soul was claimed by the demon for eternal torment. However, Daida, having connected psychically with a spectral version of her younger self while trapped within his own body, used a wish from the demon to restore her original human form. Following restoration, Miranjo confronted the consequences of her actions, expressing repentance. Daida professed love for her, influenced by their shared psychic connection, and proposed marriage. She accepted, vowing to atone by dedicating her life to sharing wisdom and spreading happiness. Her relationships are defined by complex bonds: a father-daughter dynamic mixed with possessiveness toward Bosse; manipulation-turned-genuine affection with Daida; and a fraught connection with the demon, whom she considered a childhood friend but ultimately betrayed by breaking her promise never to use its powers.
