Harry Champ is a fictional character from Zoids: New Century Zero. He serves as the leader of the Champ Team and is introduced as the wealthy heir to the Champ family fortune, which he shares with his older sister, Mary.

Born into immense wealth, Harry Champ has developed a personality centered on status, confidence, and grandiosity. He is famously known for his catchphrase, declaring himself a man destined to be king. He tends to see value in terms of money and possessions, often boasting about his extensive collection of Zoids, which he claims includes everything from a Gojulas to Cannon Tortoises. Despite his privileged and sometimes stuck-up demeanor, Harry possesses a strong sense of determination and has demonstrated genuine care for his friends and family, including his two robot attendants, Benjamin and Sebastian.

His primary motivation throughout the series is his unrequited love for Leena Toros of the Blitz Team. Many of his actions, from challenging other teams to battles to offering assistance, are driven by his desire to win her affection. He views protagonist Bit Cloud as a rival for Leena's love, a misunderstanding that fuels much of their early competition, even though neither Leena nor Bit reciprocate his romantic view of the situation.

In the story, Harry often finds himself in a supporting role to the main Blitz Team, though he is also a recurring rival. He uses his financial resources to form the Champ Team and participate in official Zoid battles. His involvement in the plot includes helping the Blitz Team on occasion and competing in the Royal Cup tournament, where he hopes to win the championship and Leena's heart, even going so far as to carry a ring. In a notable display of courage, he moves to protect Leena from the blast of a Geno Saurer's charged particle cannon, showing a selfless side beneath his comic pursuit.

Key relationships define much of his screen time. His affection for Leena is almost entirely one-sided, and she often uses his feelings to her advantage or dismisses him outright. He views Bit Cloud as his primary romantic rival, though Bit is largely indifferent to the rivalry, focused instead on battling. His relationship with his robots, Benjamin and Sebastian, is unique; while they are his servants, they often show him little respect, stealing his supplies and speaking out of turn, though Harry still treats them as companions and helps them with their own problems.

Harry undergoes some development as a pilot and character. After losing his customized Zoids to the illegal Backdraft Group, he faces a significant setback that leads to his sister providing him with financial support to continue battling. Despite this loss, he persists in his goals. By the end of the series, he is last seen in a hospital, still determinedly trying to win Leena over, indicating his core personality remains unchanged despite his experiences.

As a Zoid pilot, Harry Champ's abilities are a mix of resource-driven power and personal limitation. His true strength lies in his immense wealth, which allows him to acquire and heavily customize top-tier Zoids, and his overwhelming luck, which helps him succeed in situations like lottery draws for tournament entry. His main Zoid is a customized Dark Horn, a unit equipped with a powerful beam gatling gun and high-mobility thrusters that allow it to match the speed of more agile Zoids. After losing his Dark Horn, he pilots an Iron Kong. While his personal piloting skills are not exceptional and he is often defeated, some assessments indicate his abilities are not terrible, and his performance in the Iron Kong briefly allowed him to pressure the Liger Zero's faster armor. However, his lack of refined talent is often highlighted, with video game portrayals giving him very low stats compared to other pilots.
