Description
Mia Alice is an eighteen-year-old human girl originally from Tokyo, Earth. She possesses the psychic ability to expend large amounts of kinetic energy over distance, granting her powers such as flight, the creation of psychic shields, and telekinetic manipulation. Her telekinetic strength is the highest among her teammates, making her the primary power source for the combined mecha Dangaioh, with her fighter craft forming the robot's head and back boosters.
Mia is characterized as sweet, sensitive, and gentle, with a natural reluctance to use violence. She was kidnapped by the scientist Dr. Tarsan because of her psychic talents and subsequently brainwashed along with three other teenagers to serve as pilots for the giant robot Dangaioh. Unlike her companions, Mia retains fragmented memories of her former normal life, and her deepest motivation is to reclaim that lost existence. This remembrance makes her the most hesitant member of the team when it comes to deploying her powers in combat. Initially, her telekinesis seems uncontrollable, but it instinctively activates whenever she or her teammates face mortal danger. In such moments of crisis, she becomes the most formidable among them, emerging as an unofficial leader and the moral conscience of the group.
Throughout the story, Mia struggles with her amnesia and her desire to return to a peaceful life, yet she chooses to remain with the Dangaioh team even after they return to Earth, as she has no concrete memories of her past to anchor her. Her key relationships include her fellow psychic warriors Lamba Nom, Pai Thunder, and Roll Kran, with whom she forms a close bond through shared trials. Dr. Tarsan, her kidnapper, later has a change of heart and aids the group. The primary antagonists are Captain Galimos, leader of the Bunker Space Pirates, and the cyborg Gil Berg, who relentlessly pursues the team. Mia’s development sees her accepting her role and power, growing from a fearful amnesiac into a decisive and compassionate leader whose abilities are essential for piloting Dangaioh and defending against the pirates. Her psychic strength is not only a combat asset but also the key to powering the combined robot, as she channels her kinetic energy to enable Dangaioh's movements and attacks.
