Mia Alice is an eighteen-year-old resident of Earth, originally from Tokyo, who was abducted by the scientist Dr. Tarsan because of her latent psychic talents. After being brainwashed and reconditioned as an ESPer, she becomes one of the four pilots of the giant robot Dangaioh. Her background as a relatively normal girl shapes her personality: she is sweet, sensitive, and initially the most reluctant member of the team to use her powers, as she retains faint memories of her former life and longs to return to it. This hesitation contrasts with her immense potential. When her telekinesis manifests in moments of crisis, she proves to be the most powerful psychic among the group. Her ability allows her to expel large amounts of kinetic energy over a distance, granting her flight, the creation of psychic shields, and the capacity to serve as the primary psionic engine for Dangaioh. Her fighter craft integrates with the robot's head and back boosters. Over the course of the story, Mia gradually recovers fragments of her past, and despite having the opportunity to return to a normal life on Earth, she chooses to stay with her teammates, embracing her role as an unofficial leader and the conscience of the group. Her key relationships include her fellow pilots Roll Kran, Lamba Nom, and Pai Thunder, with whom she forms a strong bond, and she is a primary target of the cyborg assassin Gil Berg. Mia’s development is marked by her growing acceptance of her powers and her responsibility, even as she struggles with the loss of her original identity.
