Movie
Description
Chan Agi is a warrant officer and technical engineer serving with the Earth Federation's elite Londo Bell task force. Her primary role is as a mechanic and one of the key support developers for the RX-93 Nu Gundam, the mobile suit built for the legendary pilot Amuro Ray. She is a reserved and intelligent woman who acts as Amuro's close companion and romantic partner during the conflict.

Agi's background is rooted in engineering; she was dispatched from Anaheim Electronics to work alongside Amuro, and her professional competence allows her to translate his combat experience and tactical needs into practical mobile suit specifications. Her motivations are deeply personal, driven by a genuine concern for Amuro's well-being and a fear that he might sacrifice himself to stop his rival, Char Aznable. Unlike the more erratic Newtypes around her, she offers patience and emotional maturity, though she is visibly worried by Amuro's gloomy demeanor as the conflict escalates.

In the story, her relationship with Amuro makes her an unwitting rival to the young and powerful Newtype Quess Paraya, who develops a crush on Amuro and views Agi with intense jealousy. This dynamic sets key events in motion. During a Neo Zeon attack, Agi mans a turret and successfully shoots down an enemy ace. Later, she is given a sample of the mysterious Psycoframe technology, which she keeps with her. This fragment enhances her own nascent Newtype abilities, allowing her to sense Amuro's presence in space.

Demonstrating her commitment, Agi pilots a heavily damaged RGZ-91 Re-GZ mobile suit into the final battle to provide Amuro with additional support and to boost the Psycoframe's resonance. During the chaos, she confronts Quess. When Quess threatens Hathaway Noa, a young stowaway infatuated with her, Agi fires a missile to protect him, inadvertently killing Quess. Devastated and enraged by this act, Hathaway immediately fires upon Agi's mobile suit, killing her. The Psycoframe sample she carried survives her death, emitting a strange green light that later contributes to the miraculous event that pushes the asteroid Axis away from Earth. Her notable abilities, aside from her engineering expertise, include a higher-than-average combat coordination when linked with the Psycoframe, despite not being a designated front-line pilot. She is also deeply curious about the true nature of the Psycoframe technology, a question left unanswered by the film's end.
