Description
Koh Grif is a character from the BakuTech! Bakugan series. He is the son of the head of the Grif Financial Group, an elementary school student in the fifth grade, and the younger brother of Sho Grif. Despite his young age, his imposing figure and muscular build make him look far older than he is.
In terms of personality, Koh is initially presented as a proud and haughty brawler who underestimates his opponents. He takes immense pride in his skills, often referring to himself in the third person. However, this arrogance gives way to a more humble nature after he is defeated by Harubaru Hinode in a critical knockout brawl. Following this loss, he genuinely apologizes and befriends Harubaru, marking a turning point in his development. This experience drives his motivation to improve, leading him to enroll in the Bakugan Dojo.
Koh's key relationship is with his older brother, Sho, whom he addresses as Aniki. The two brothers fight together effectively as a team. He also develops a strong bond with Harubaru and Raichi, eventually joining forces with them and Sho to form Team Dragaon, a central group of protagonists in the story.
Koh uses the Haos attribute and his partner Bakugan is Kilan Leoness, which evolves over the course of the series into Shield Leoness and later Ogre Leoness. His appearance evolves in sync with his Bakugan. His spiky blue hair and white uniform with blue linings change to blonde hair and yellow linings when his partner evolves to Shield Leoness, before reverting back to blue for the Ogre Leoness stage.
His notable abilities include the shooting skill BakuTech Lion Rock. He is characterized as an extremely powerful brawler who relies on brute force, although this raw strength sometimes leaves him vulnerable to being outmatched or overpowered in battle.
