Description
Kirinta Kusano is a young giraffe and a friend of Shimajiro. His physical stature, being taller than many of his peers due to his species, is a notable characteristic. Kirinta is a boy with a personality that combines a playful and joking nature with a notable degree of restraint. While he enjoys humor and lighthearted antics, he does not cross the line into mean-spirited behavior, distinguishing himself from other characters who more frequently act as bullies. He is sometimes portrayed as being very shy, hesitating to voice his opinion openly, which adds a layer of quiet sensitivity to his demeanor.

His primary motivation and dream is to become a police officer. This aspiration is reflected in his admiration for authority figures, particularly a lion police officer whom he looks up to. To pursue this goal, Kirinta specializes in karate, using his training as a foundation for his discipline and physical abilities. His role in the story is that of a friend and classmate within the core group of children. He is often seen interacting with other male characters such as Kento Hoshiba, Ganta Kabayama, and Monta Kimura, and his social circle places him as a companion who can be both playful and supportive.

Throughout the series, Kirinta demonstrates that he is not inherently a troublemaker. Although narratives sometimes involve conflict, he is not typically the instigator of bullying, showing a level of maturity and restraint that is more developed than some of his peers. His development centers on balancing his shyness with his ambitions, using his karate skills not for aggression but as a constructive path toward his future career. His notable abilities are grounded in his martial arts training, which provides him with physical coordination and self-discipline.
