Description
Adéle Balfette is a student of the Musashi Ariadust Academy, belonging to Class 3-Plum. She has blond hair cut with uneven fringes across her forehead, blue eyes, and wears glasses. Her academy uniform incorporates bulkier armor plating that extends to her chin and neck, alongside elongated sleeves and a skirt; she habitually folds back her sleeves for more efficient weapon handling and dons heavy knee-high boots. Her family roots trace back to Hexagone Française, and she comes from a retainer class background. She is typically cheerful and courteous, interacting with others through frequent smiles and positive engagement. She takes pride in her exceptional natural mobility and speed, ranking among the academy’s fastest students before Futayo Honda’s enrollment. She dedicates time to caring for the dogs that live aboard the Musashi, walking, brushing, and bathing them. While generally composed, she can succumb to panic under high-stress scenarios, as demonstrated during her interim role as Battle Commander in the Battle of the Spanish Armada, where she was initially overwhelmed by an opponent’s tactics but eventually regained her composure to devise effective countermeasures, including directing the Musashi to perform a mid-air backflip to outmaneuver the enemy. Her primary combat role is that of a defender, acting as the group’s shield during major operations such as the Horizon Ariadust Rescue Mission, where she absorbed sustained cannon fire from enemy forces to protect advancing ground units. She specializes in close-quarters combat, wielding a heavy lance known as the Ichiban no Yari, whose large tip comprises half its length. Her natural agility, combined with the weight of the lance, allows her to execute formidable charging tactics, though these linear assaults leave her vulnerable to agile opponents who can disrupt her balance by targeting her weapon. She can activate an Acceleration spell to further amplify her movement speed. Her most notable piece of equipment is the Mechanic Shell called Raging Beast, which she inherited from her deceased father. This heavy suit provides superior defense capable of withstanding cannon fire, but it completely immobilizes her, transforming her into a stationary defensive wall. To compensate for the mobility limitations of the Raging Beast, she often requires assistance from a companion named Persona-kun to move on the battlefield.
