TV-Series
Description
Hargrave serves as the personal butler and most trusted assistant to Dr. Emmanuel Klipse, the primary antagonist of the series. His entire existence revolves around serving his master with absolute devotion, and he carries out whatever task is asked of him, no matter how dangerous or underhanded.

In appearance, Hargrave has a distinctly unsettling look that matches his austere profession. He has sickly pale green skin and silver hair that is slicked back neatly. He is always dressed in a formal black suit with a gray vest underneath and a purple tie. What sets him apart from a typical butler is the sophisticated mechanical backpack mounted on his back. This device includes a remote control panel that appears on his chest and features two mechanical arms; one arm is a small driller, while the other is a robotic hand with three fingers. He uses these appendages for various tasks, from climbing mountains with surprising speed to performing mundane duties such as preparing tea for Dr. Klipse.

Personality-wise, Hargrave is defined by his cunning and ruthless efficiency. He approaches combat and espionage with a cold, strategic mind, making him a formidable opponent. His demeanor is consistently creepy and unsettling to those who meet him, particularly the young members of Team Core-Tech. His most defining trait is his unwavering, absolute loyalty to Dr. Klipse. He never questions his master's orders and is fully committed to the doctor's grand, often dangerous, schemes.

Hargrave's primary motivation is the success and well-being of his master, Dr. Klipse. He takes pride in his role as the doctor's right hand and works tirelessly to advance Klipse's ambitions. This includes procuring valuable resources, engaging enemies in battle, and ensuring the doctor's plans come to fruition. His dedication is so complete that he even risked his life to acquire the last known sample of pure Monsuno Essence from the destroyed Well of Pure Life, an act that greatly pleased his master.

Within the story, Hargrave acts as the primary field agent and enforcer for the Eklipse organization. He is often the one who delivers ominous messages to Team Core-Tech, such as when he caused their bus to crash just to hand Chase Suno an invitation from Dr. Klipse. He is a recurring adversary who engages in numerous battles throughout the series. He fought against characters like Beyal and Commander Trey, and frequently teamed up with Dr. Klipse in direct confrontations against Team Core-Tech, the Desert Wolves, and S.T.O.R.M. In one notable mission during the second season, he led a band of thieves to steal a powerful weapon from Core-Tech. Despite his skills, he is often on the losing side of major conflicts, including the final battles at the Eklipse headquarters.

His most significant relationship is, of course, with Dr. Emmanuel Klipse. He is completely subservient and loyal to the doctor, acting as a sounding board for Klipse's plans and a capable tool for executing them. He also has a strong relationship with his primary Monsuno, Shadowhornet, which resembles a hybrid of a hornet and a centipede and can perform special moves like Evil Extension.

Over the course of the series, Hargrave shows some development in his capabilities. While his loyalty never wavers, he adapts to new threats and circumstances. After his initial Monsuno, Shadowhornet, was turned against him by the Shadow Effect in an abandoned mining facility, he eventually acquired a second Monsuno named Firewasp. He also proves himself to be more than just a fighter by intelligently securing Monsuno Essence for his master when the opportunity arose. In the climactic battle at the Eklipse headquarters, he fought alongside Dr. Klipse until their defeat, and later survived the destruction of the Fusion Core Reactor to escape with his master.

Hargrave possesses several notable abilities. He is a highly intelligent strategist with a deep understanding of technology, as demonstrated by his proficiency with his mechanical backpack. He is also a skilled Monsuno controller, capable of holding his own against multiple opponents. While not a frontline commander like some characters, his cunning and ruthlessness make him a persistent and dangerous threat, serving as the ever-present shadow of his master, Dr. Klipse.
