Description
Genya Kokuji, known under the alias Agent Dark, is an antagonist in the B-Daman Fireblast anime. His background is rooted in the Shira Corporation, where he initially served as the secretary to the chairman, Bakuga Shira's father. Driven by a desire for wealth and power, he had the chairman arrested on false charges, leading to Bakuga being cast out and Genya usurping the CEO position for himself. His ultimate goal was to secure funding for the development of deadly weapons based on B-Daman technology, which he planned to sell for profit. His knowledge of Crestland's ancient legends is deeply personal, as his family are descendants of the warrior who once wielded the evil Kirin, Triple Gillusion. The ancient defeat of the Kirin by the Phoenix, Spike Phoenix, brought disgrace upon the Kokuji family, and Genya harbors a specific hatred for Spike Phoenix as a result.

In terms of personality, Agent Dark is portrayed as cold, cunning, greedy, and power-hungry. He is loyal to the organization Triple Gillusion, which he serves, and sees individuals under its mind control as mere tools for his ambitions. He is notably intolerant of traitors and is driven by a deep-seated desire to gain significant power, partly to erase the ancient disgrace brought upon his family line. Despite his villainous nature, he is shown to have a degree of appreciation for his son, Jenta Kokuji, who is known as the Northern B-Master.

His role in the story is that of a primary antagonist and mastermind. He is responsible for manipulating Roma Day through Triple Gillusion, creating the Road Fight competition, orchestrating the hostile takeover of the Shira Corporation, and developing the dangerous Core System weapons. He operates under the masked alias of Agent Dark, wearing a distinctive mask with a yellow eye and a green iris, which also contains a voice changer to conceal his identity.

Key relationships include his connection to his son, Jenta Kokuji, and his antagonistic view of Spike Phoenix. His scheme to resurrect Triple Gillusion involved giving one of its component B-Damans, Left Stallion, to Roma Day, which allowed the evil Kirin to take control of Roma's mind. He also has a notable hatred for Spike Phoenix, stemming from the ancient battle that brought disgrace to his family.

Regarding development, his actions are largely motivated by a longstanding family grudge and a lust for corporate and military power. He successfully usurps control of the Shira Corporation and initiates his weapon development plans. While his character remains largely villainous, his appreciation for his son Jenta provides a glimpse of complexity. Notable abilities include his strategic cunning in corporate and criminal manipulation, his extensive knowledge of ancient Crestland legends and the Holy Beasts, and his use of advanced technology such as the Core System weapons and his masked disguise.
