Description
Kamon Godai is the central protagonist of his series and an eleven-year-old boy residing in the southern area of Crest Land. He lives with his older sister, Aona Godai, and works as a delivery boy and waiter at her restaurant. Kamon lost all his past memories of the sport of B-Daman and his family, with the exception of his sister, leaving him haunted by strange dreams and feelings he cannot fully explain or understand. His B-Daman partner is Drive=Garuburn, a dual-type unit known for combining power and rapid fire, which Kamon unknowingly recreated at a local B-Daman shop called B-Junk after feeling a mysterious and powerful connection to the parts.

In terms of personality, Kamon is generally hot-blooded, impatient, outgoing, and somewhat scatterbrained. He possesses a fiercely competitive nature and a never-give-up attitude, paired with a genuinely good heart. During his time as the Southern B-Master of Crest Land, he treated every B-Der in his area with respect and kindness. However, he also harbors a hidden and dangerous side to his character. When pushed into a corner with the odds against him to a drastic extreme, Kamon can enter a terrifying berserker-like state known as Dark Kamon. In this state, his inner darkness manifests as an aura of black fire, the sclerae of his eyes turn black, and his personality becomes filled with negative emotions such as anger, arrogance, and frustration. It is later revealed that this state is the result of the Kirin B-Daman, Triple=Gillusion, using his negative emotions to control him like a puppet.

Kamon's primary motivation is to become the number one B-Daplayer. He sets this goal with his partner Garuburn after learning about Crest Land's signature sport, the Road Fight. His journey is deeply tied to uncovering the secrets of his lost past and confronting the mysterious darkness that haunts his dreams. He is driven by a desire to change the harsh "Bad Law" of the Road Fight, which decrees that losers must obey any command from the victor. He once challenged his older brother, Ryoma Godai, over this law but was defeated, an event that resulted in the loss of his memories and Garuburn's B-Animal. His role in the story is that of a spirited and determined competitor who must rediscover his own history and battle against the forces, including his own brother, that seek to manipulate him and others.

Kamon has several key relationships that shape his development. His relationship with his older brother, Ryoma Godai, the Grand B-Master of Crest Land, is the most complex and central. Ryoma is the driving force behind Kamon's inner darkness and is responsible for establishing the very laws Kamon seeks to change. Their confrontations are deeply personal, as Ryoma once restored Kamon's memories to force him and Garuburn to unleash their inner darkness. Kamon also shares a close bond with his sister, Aona Godai, who cares for him and is the only family member he remembers for much of his life. He quickly forms strong friendships with other B-Ders, including Mitsuru Hachisuka and Samuru Shigane, learning the rules of Cross Fight and vowing to become stronger together with them.

Throughout the story, Kamon undergoes significant development. He begins as an amnesiac boy with a natural talent and a partner he feels destined with, but with no memory of his past skills or status as a B-Master. As he participates in battles and the Road Fight, he slowly learns about the darker aspects of the sport and his own history. He struggles with and ultimately learns to confront the darkness within himself, fighting to break free from the manipulation of figures like Ryoma and Triple=Gillusion. His journey is one of reclaiming his lost identity, mastering his B-Daman, and fighting not just for victory, but to change the system for the better.

Notable abilities include mastery over his B-Daman Drive=Garuburn and its signature technique, the Emblem Charge Shot known as the Burning Overdrive. Kamon is able to utilize different modes with Garuburn, such as Power Mode, Rush Mode, and Control Mode, and can combine these in techniques like Ultimate Drive. In his Dark Kamon state, he gains access to a terrifying level of power fueled by his own negative emotions and the corrupting influence of Triple=Gillusion. This state is characterized by an aura of black fire and a ruthless, dominating fighting style that stands in stark contrast to his usual, more spirited approach.
