TV-Series
Description
Agnès Joubert is the producer of Hero TV, the reality program that broadcasts the crime-fighting activities of superheroes in Sternbild City. In her early thirties, she is tall and slender with wavy dark-blonde hair styled with bangs on the left, emerald-green eyes, and a small mole near her lip. Her left eye is slightly larger and positioned lower than her right, a deliberate design choice to avoid a conventional anime beauty. Her professional wardrobe shifts over time from a lilac purple button-up shirt and eggplant pencil skirt to a yellow blouse with a black skirt, tights, and heels, with subtle physical changes reflecting stress. Agnès is aggressive, no-nonsense, and relentlessly focused on ratings and sponsor demands, often clashing with veteran hero Kotetsu Kaburagi, who prioritizes civilian safety over spectacle. She instructs heroes to capture footage even during dangerous fights and uses the catchphrase “Bonjour, Heroes.” Despite her hard-driving exterior, she is highly competent and has provided critical information to heroes in times of crisis. During a memory-manipulation crisis that erased Kotetsu’s identity, she pretended to remain brainwashed while secretly restoring communication networks and recording a villain’s confession, then broadcast the evidence to the city. She has also exposed corporate wrongdoing, reinstated ousted heroes, and helped reform the hero system to balance commercial interests with ethical accountability. In The Rising, she makes the pivotal decision to transfer Wild Tiger to the First League, restoring his partnership with Barnaby Brooks Jr. Agnès has no superpowers; her strengths are her organizational skill, tenacity, and media savvy.
