Kazuma Aohara, a God Candidate within the interconnected skyscrapers, commands control over the Angels Ein and Zwei, compelling them to obey his orders. His initial goal is to attain the status of "Perfect God" by eliminating rival God Candidates.

He targets Yuri Honjo's group after severely underestimating her, mistakenly believing her a powerful God Candidate based on flawed assumptions about her abilities and influence. This misconception leads to aggressive pursuit. However, suffering a decisive defeat by Yuri and witnessing Kuon Shinzaki's overwhelming power demonstrated via her rail gun forces a reassessment. Recognizing he is outmatched and his ambitions currently unattainable, he strategically yields.

Following his defeat, his allegiance shifts dramatically. He formally abandons his quest to become God and joins Yuri's group. He dedicates himself to treating the injured within the Antenna Building, transitioning from antagonist to ally. Despite this redemption, his involvement on the group's front lines soon proves fatal; he meets his end during a conflict.

Before his death, he transfers his unique ability—manipulating time to freeze Masks for one second—along with his final commands, to his subordinate Angel, Ein. This act ensures his influence persists beyond his demise within the ongoing struggle.
