Description
Maschera Cecchino, alias Yuka Makoto, operates as an anti-heroic figure within the skyscraper realm. Known to Kuon Shinzaki as "Mr. Mask," he bears an unspecified connection to Rika Honjo and Yuri Honjo. His physical appearance features a distinctive scar beneath the left eye, presenting an adult, "sharper" version of his brother Rika. Unmasked near Yuri Honjo, his face elicits a "super handsome" reaction. His standard attire includes a black suit, fedora hat, white shirt, black tie, gloves, leather shoes, and his signature smiling mask, frequently accompanied by a cigarette during activities.

His personality shifts dramatically under the mask's influence. Initially devoid of independent thought under full control, a grenade-induced crack partially restores his consciousness while maintaining the compulsion to enforce despair, murder, or suicide commands. After full liberation, traits emerge: analytical decision-making, concealed concern for allies, and preoccupation with maintaining a "cool" image during perceived embarrassments. Protective instincts surface toward Kuon Shinzaki and Yuri's group, coupled with obliviousness to Kuon's romantic feelings.

Key relationships define his path. Rika Honjo is his confirmed younger biological brother. Antagonism with Yuri Honjo evolves into an alliance forged through shared struggles. Initial coldness toward Kuon Shinzaki transitions into guardianship, though he remains unaware of her emotional attachment.

His combat capabilities are formidable. Base skills encompass expert marksmanship with a Mosin-Nagant rifle—effective beyond 200 meters with ricochet mastery and bullet dodging/catching—plus enhanced auditory perception for precise sound localization. Post-power transfer from Kuon Shinzaki, his abilities expand: manipulation of smiling and guardian masks, physical self-reinforcement, forced defragmentation (boosting combat prowess against apostles), building destruction via railgun control, and unique authority over guardian angels among faceless mask users.

His narrative begins as a rooftop sniper hunting Yuri Honjo and killing Mizushita. A partial mask fracture during Mayuko Nise's grenade attack triggers memory flashes and resistance to commands, though suicide enforcement persists. After sparing Kuon due to her "close to god" status, he allies with her to locate Yuri. Subsequent events include receiving Kuon's powers during her deterioration, ascending as a god candidate, and integrating into Yuri's coalition against the realm's antagonists.
