He is a First Lieutenant within the United Nations forces, though he also holds the rank of Captain in the Turkish Army. Known informally as the Hero of Rhodes for his actions during the Battle of Rhodes in 1993, Dahl has a distinguished combat history and is a veteran of the European front, where he previously lost many subordinates.
