Description
Popura Taneshima, commonly called Poplar, is a main character in the anime Wagnaria!!, where she works as a waitress at the family restaurant Wagnaria. She is a seventeen-year-old high school student in her second year and serves as one of the senior staff members at the restaurant, having worked there longer than most of the other part-time employees. Her most defining physical trait is her very small stature and youthful, innocent appearance, which frequently cause customers and coworkers to mistake her for an elementary school child. This is made more ironic by her name, which comes from the poplar tree; she was named after it in the hope that she would grow tall.
