Description
Kanata Sorami is the central character of her story and a private in the Helvetian Army, assigned to the 1121st Platoon stationed in the remote town of Seize. At the age of fifteen, she is a girl of short stature with brown hair and eyes, often distinguished by a single blue barrette and an asymmetrical haircut with a longer tress on one side.
Her motivation to join the military stems from a formative childhood experience during a time of widespread conflict and societal decay. After becoming lost, a young Kanata encountered a woman who played the trumpet for her. In the world she inhabits, the military is one of the few remaining institutions that provides free musical training, so this memory inspired her to enlist with the singular goal of learning to become a skilled bugler.
