Princess Anne, sometimes rendered as Princess Ann, is a guest character in the anime Magic Kaito: Kid the Phantom Thief, appearing in the episode The Princess Prefers Magic as well as in the later regular series adaptation of the same story. She is introduced as a European princess from the Duchy of Sabrina who travels to Japan accompanied by her bodyguard, Detective Delon, a celebrated but trigger-happy police detective known for shooting criminals. Her official reason for the visit is tied to an exhibition of famous paintings and gems from her duchy, but her real purpose is more personal.

Anne is the owner of a jeweled necklace called the Beaucoup de Soleil à Paris, and shortly after arriving she announces she will host a party for magicians, publicly challenging Kaitou Kid to steal the necklace from her. This challenge, however, is largely a pretext. Anne is a devoted admirer of Kaitou Kid and her true motivation is simply to meet him in person and experience his magic up close. In the anime adaptation her fondness for Kid is especially pronounced, to the point where she is shown to have created an online fan site dedicated to him. She is also a cat lover, describing her cat Belmonde as her only friend, which suggests a somewhat lonely life despite her royal status.

Her personality comes across as playful, warm, and eager for excitement. When Kid infiltrates her hotel room, she quickly recognizes the situation and willingly becomes part of his plan rather than raising an alarm. She cooperates with him to outwit Delon, helping stage an escape that makes it look as though Inspector Nakamori was responsible for foiling the heist. In the anime she even gives Kid a goodbye kiss before he departs, and an epilogue shows her on the plane back to Sabrina holding a rose that Kid had given her.

Anne's role in the story is that of the target and guest of the episode's heist. Her arrival creates the central conflict: Detective Delon wants to capture or eliminate Kaitou Kid and removes Inspector Nakamori from the case, threatening Nakamori's standing as the inspector in charge of Kid's pursuit. Kid must steal the necklace, honor Anne's wish to see him, protect Nakamori's reputation, and survive an encounter with Delon. Anne's willingness to play along is what allows the plan to succeed, making her an active participant in the trick rather than a passive victim.

Her key relationships define her brief appearance. With Kaitou Kid, she is an enthusiastic fan who becomes a temporary co-performer in his scheme, and she treats their encounter as a cherished memory. She begins as a fan who merely hopes to see her idol and ends as someone who actively joins in the theatrical deception, revealing a mischievous and adventurous side beneath her royal composure. She does not possess any special combat, magical, or investigative abilities; her influence comes from her royal position, her famous jewel, and her genuine affection for magic and for Kid. Her memorable trait is that she is one of the few characters in the series who helps Kaitou Kid willingly and happily, rather than trying to capture him.
