Description
Kiriha Kuze is a main character in the story, attending the same class as the protagonist Kohei Hasekura. She is known for her strikingly beautiful and elegant appearance, characterized by long, dark hair and deep purple eyes. Standing at 164.4 centimeters, her demeanor is often described as cold and aloof, earning her the nickname freeze dry among her fellow students. She rarely seeks out social interaction, prefers to be alone, and speaks only in minimal responses even when directly addressed, yet she never appears lonely. This mysterious and unsociable nature often leaves others wondering about her background.

Behind her quiet exterior lies an existence far from ordinary, as Kiriha is a vampire's servant, also known as a follower. As a result, she has been alive for over 250 years and possesses superhuman physical abilities. This eternal lifespan is the reason she often skips classes or retreats to secluded places, as her body regularly requires a sleep mode characteristic of her kind. Her long existence has also caused her sense of taste to become dull, to the point where she does not react to intensely spicy foods. Unlike traditional vampires, she does not require blood to survive. Kiriha's circumstances are complicated by her relationship with her master, Kaya Sendou, who is also the mother of her classmate, Erika Sendou. As a form of amusement, Kaya has a cruel habit of erasing Kiriha's memories and abandoning her, forcing Kiriha to continually search for her own identity and purpose.

In an academic setting, Kiriha demonstrates a sharp and focused intelligence. She has no interest in clubs or extracurricular activities and performs poorly in subjects that do not capture her attention. However, she possesses an exceptional talent for mathematics, consistently ranking at the top of her class in that subject, much to the frustration of the overall top student, Erika Sendou, who views her as a rival. Her primary relationship in the story develops with Kohei Hasekura. Initially, she does not build friendships, but her dynamic with Kohei deepens significantly after he inadvertently discovers her private hiding spot and begins to learn the truth about her nature. Through this connection, her coldness begins to thaw as she experiences affection and care, revealing a deep-seated emotional hunger for love that she usually keeps hidden. In the OVA, she explicitly states that Kohei is the only boy she is interested in.
