Description
Bagramon, also known as Lord Bagra, is a primary antagonist from the Digimon Fusion series. He is a Demon Lord Digimon who serves as the supreme emperor of the Bagra Army and the primary force opposing the Fusion Fighters. His origins are rooted in tragedy and rebellion, as he was originally a high-ranking Angel Digimon who ruled over death. Despairing over what he perceived as the unreasonable and unjust nature of the world, he chose to rebel against God. As punishment for this insurrection, he was struck down, losing one of his eyes and the entire right half of his body. His body was permanently scarred, his once-white wings were charred and destroyed, and his hair turned silver. To survive and regain his power, he rebuilt his ruined form using remnants of the digital tree Yggdrasill, creating the artificial prosthetics that define his later appearance, including his disproportionately large right arm, known as the Astral Snatcher, and a new right eye, a large ruby that allows him to observe any location within the Digital World. Because of these experiences and his accumulated knowledge, he became known as the Sage of Death.

Bagramon is a cunning, ruthless, and patient individual who embodies the archetype of a visionary villain. He is driven by a deep-seated conviction to replace the world's existing, flawed order with a new one of his own design. He is utterly willing to sacrifice his own followers and cause immense suffering to achieve his grand ambitions, believing the ends justify any means. Despite his cruel and merciless nature as a ruler, he possesses a composed and calculating demeanor, often observing events from a distance before making his move. He can be condescending towards those he considers beneath him but is also capable of acknowledging genuine strength or success in others, whether they are allies or enemies. His ultimate goal is to collect the 108 fragments of the Code Crown, an artifact that grants its holder dominion over the Digital World. He manipulates events to gather these fragments, as well as vast amounts of negative energy, to initiate a cataclysmic event he calls D5. D5 is designed to delete and merge the human and digital worlds, allowing Bagramon to destroy the current reality and reshape it according to his own ideals as its absolute ruler.

In the story, Bagramon begins as a distant, unseen commander, issuing orders to his three main generals: Tactimon, Laylamon, and Blastmon. He is also the older brother of AxeKnightmon, a fact that creates a complex and central relationship within the series. He was responsible for creating the Fusion Loaders and selecting specific humans like Christopher Aonuma to serve as his generals, though these plans often backfired. He makes his physical appearance after the Digital World is reformatted into seven kingdoms, each ruled by one of his Death Generals. Throughout the final arc, he demonstrates power far exceeding that of his subordinates, effortlessly defeating the heroes' strongest combinations. His most significant relationship is with his brother, AxeKnightmon. While AxeKnightmon serves him, he harbors deep resentment over their difference in power. In a pivotal betrayal, AxeKnightmon attempts to forcibly absorb Bagramon, but Bagramon, having anticipated this treachery, overpowers his brother from within and instead absorbs him. This act transforms him into the even more powerful DarknessBagramon. After his eventual defeat at the hands of Shoutmon X7 Superior Mode, Bagramon is reincarnated in a purified form. In this new life, he adopts the alter ego of an elderly human clock shop owner, Watchman. Remorseful for his past evil deeds, he works secretly to aid the protagonists against a new threat, Quartzmon, which was born from the remnants of his own discarded power.

Bagramon possesses a vast array of formidable abilities. His signature move, Astral Snatcher, uses his giant right arm to rip the soul from a living opponent's body, which he can then send to heaven or hell or even implant into another being. His ruby eye grants him the power of Invisible Snake-eyes, allowing him to observe any location in the Digital World and obtain any information he desires instantly. He can also generate a Savage Cyclone, a super-dimensional storm that creates a portal through which he can extend his arm to attack any location in the Digital World. After forcibly fusing with his brother to become DarknessBagramon, his powers are greatly amplified. In this state, his right arm becomes the God of Death Snatcher, capable of tearing the soul from both the living and the dead. He gains the ability to use Eternal Darkmare, flapping his new, massive wings to instantly destroy an opponent's data, preventing their reincarnation. He can also unleash Bale-Fire Eyes from the eyes on his chest armor, releasing his fathomless power to reduce his surroundings to nothingness, and use Terra Infusion to absorb the surrounding land and space-time itself to further empower himself.
