Description
Chongire stands among the three primary lieutenants serving the Witch of Delays, alongside comrades Elda and Numeri. Charged with stealing Motivation Power for his mistress, he executes tasks with palpable reluctance, prioritizing speed over prolonged effort. His identity centers on his role as the Witch’s personal chef—a vocation that later anchors his redemption, as culinary prowess becomes integral to his post-villainous existence.

Resembling an anthropomorphic blue hermit crab, Chongire sports a crimson scarf and belt as distinctive marks. A confrontation with Butler leaves a lasting scar across his right eye. His combat abilities include summoning Yaraneeda—motivation-draining entities—and hurling rocks from his claws. Though unable to conjure advanced Zettai Yaraneeda independently, he accesses these through undisclosed means off-screen.

Initially loyal, Chongire aids the Witch by targeting adversaries like Laura to hinder the Pretty Cures, even overpowering them temporarily. His allegiance fractures upon uncovering Butler’s plot to unleash the Fool’s Casket, a relic threatening global annihilation. Defying orders, Chongire rebels, prompting Butler to forcibly transform him into a grotesque Yaraneeda—a monstrous state marked by hollow eyes and a twisted frame, symbolizing his tragic subjugation.

Post-restoration, Chongire allies with the Pretty Cures against the Kowasundas, enduring an eye injury in the climactic clash. Despite prior betrayals, he saves Butler during the villains’ trench collapse, revealing nuanced loyalty. After the conflict, he channels his culinary expertise into a food stall venture with Elda and Numeri, symbolizing his shift toward peaceful reinvention.

Chongire nurtures a bond with his fellow subordinates, often sharing meals with Elda and engaging in familial banter with her and Numeri. This camaraderie, blending support and humor, contrasts his earlier villainy, underscoring a capacity for empathy that transcends mere obedience to the Witch.
