TV-Series
Description
Yaraneeda are monsters created by the Witch of Delays' servants, summoned initially by throwing dark purple orbs at objects to possess them. Their core function involves draining Motivation Power from living beings, leaving victims apathetic and zombielike, though this ability fails against Pretty Cure warriors. A standard Yaraneeda resembles its possessed object, featuring fishlike gills on its face, an unmotivated expression, glowing red eyes, and a creepy smile while draining motivation.

Four progressively stronger variants appear:
The **Zenzen Yaraneeda**, introduced in Episode 10 using dark green orbs, sport one or two tail fins on the head, jagged mouths, and eyelashes on the lower lids. They resist solo Cure attacks such as Otento Summer Strike.
The **Zettai Yaraneeda**, debuting in Episode 22 via yellow orbs, are identified by fins on both sides of the head and eyelashless eyes, withstanding group attacks like Mix Tropical.
The **Chou Zettai Yaraneeda**, first seen in Episode 29 summoned by red orbs, possess head fins and X-shaped noses, enduring finishers like Ocean Bubble Shower. From Episode 36 onward, they are created using living creatures like octopuses or crabs, requiring stronger attacks like Marine Beat Dynamic for defeat.
The **Kowasunda**, debuting in Episode 45 as an army summoned by Butler, stand distinct from prior variants. Unlike the motivation-draining Yaraneeda, Kowasunda are pure killing machines linked to the Witch of Destruction's past atrocities.

Notable developments include:
**Sentient Transformation**: In Episode 43, Butler forcibly transforms the villain Chongire into a Chou Zettai Yaraneeda using an orb. This form has eyes on its torso instead of the head, lifeless eyes, and loses Chongire's original voice, shocking allies and Cures. Butler later transforms himself into a sentient Yaraneeda in Episode 44, retaining his consciousness to communicate and drain subordinates' motivation.
**Plot Significance**: Yaraneeda variants escalate threats across the series, culminating in the Witch's plan to use drained Motivation Power to activate the Fool's Casket for global destruction. Their attacks directly enable this plot, particularly large-scale assaults like the blue whale Yaraneeda in Episode 42 and the Kowasunda in the finale.

The name "Yaraneeda" derives from "yaranai" (やらない, "I don't want to do"), reflecting their willpower-sapping role. "Zenzen" (全然) means "not at all," and "Zettai" (絶対) means "definitely," emphasizing their enhanced refusal-based power.
