Description
Serving the Witch of Procrastination, the Zenzen Yaraneeda are enhanced monsters first appearing in episode 10. Their name translates to "Really don't want to do it," embodying the Witch's procrastination theme. They are summoned using dark green orbs created by the Witch, specifically after the Pretty Cures demonstrate increased strength.
Physically resembling standard Yaraneeda, they feature distinct modifications: one or two tail fins on the top or sides of their heads. Their facial expressions remain unmotivated, but their mouths appear more jagged, and their eyelashes are positioned at the bottom of their eyes instead of the top.
Their primary ability drains "Motivation Power" from living beings, inducing apathy and lethargy—an effect that can extend to Pretty Cures, as seen when Cure Summer loses motivation in episode 10. When active, their eyes glow red and they exhibit unsettling smiles. Like other Yaraneeda, they draw power from stolen motivation but become vulnerable once it is returned to the Mermaid Aqua Pot. Their specific abilities vary based on the object they possess:
- An English Test Book (episode 10) unleashes wind to knock opponents off balance.
- A Croissant (episode 15) fires miniature black croissants and traps enemies.
- A Life Buoy (episode 17) launches buoys from its arms and transforms into a wheel.
- A Pool Racing Line (episode 18) morphs into a snake-like form for ground attacks.
Demonstrating greater resilience than standard Yaraneeda, they resist initial attacks like Cure Summer’s "Otento Summer Strike." Stronger purification techniques are required to defeat them, typically the Cures' group finisher "Mix Tropical" or Cure La Mer’s "Kurukuru La Mer Stream." The Witch’s servants—Chongire, Numeri, and Elda—summon them, with Numeri using her stethoscope to create one in episode 43.
