Description
First emerging in episode 22, Zettai Yaraneeda constitutes an enhanced variant of the Yaraneeda monsters. The Witch of Delays summons it using a potent yellow orb, signifying a notable escalation in antagonist capabilities beyond earlier Zenzen Yaraneeda variants. Distinct physical traits set it apart: fins flank its head and its eyes lack eyelashes.

Debuting by possessing a flashlight, Zettai Yaraneeda wields abilities including blinding light beams emitted from its arms to disorient foes and the capacity to repair physical damage—such as reconstructing shattered glass on its possessed form. It exhibits heightened resilience, notably surviving the Pretty Cures' combined "Mix Tropical" attack, a feat unachieved by regular or Zenzen Yaraneeda. This durability forces the Cures to adapt their combat strategies.

Despite its power, Zettai Yaraneeda consistently falls to Cure La Mer's "Ocean Bubble Shower" technique. Subsequent episodes showcase it possessing diverse objects: Laura's wishing stone (episode 23), a buzzer (24), a chalkboard (25), a telescope (26), a ball and hoop (27), and an ikayaki food item (28). Each possession leverages the object’s properties for attacks, like firing lasers or deploying ink clouds.

This variant represents an intermediate stage in Yaraneeda evolution, emerging after Zenzen Yaraneeda but preceding the stronger Chou Zettai Yaraneeda introduced in episode 29. Its creation involves duress—the Witch of Delays experiences physical pain during the process, with yellow orbs described as born from her suffering. Narratively, Zettai Yaraneeda underscores the escalating threat from the Witch’s faction as Butler gathers motivation energy for the Fool’s Casket doomsday device. Eventually, it becomes outclassed as villains develop more advanced variants overwhelming its capabilities.
