Description
Francesca is a central character in the first story arc of Allison & Lillia, though her true identity is initially kept secret. She first appears under the assumed name Fiona, living in a remote and isolated village known as Fiona's Valley. This village was secretly established to protect her, as she is the last surviving member of the royal family of the kingdom of Ikstova. Ten years prior to the story's events, the royal palace was burned down, and the rest of her family was killed in a conspiracy. Francesca was a child at the time of this tragedy and went into exile, surviving the decade in hiding.

A young woman of twenty years, Francesca is driven by a deep-seated desire for justice and to reclaim her rightful heritage. Her primary goal is to return to the capital city of Kunst and interrupt a political speech to announce to the people of Ikstova that their princess is still alive. She carries a royal pendant as proof of her sovereignty, which becomes a key piece of evidence in confirming her identity. She also possesses evidence, such as a cuff link with the Nihito family crest, to directly accuse Owen Nihito of being the mastermind behind the plot that killed her parents and destroyed the royal family.

Her role in the story begins when the protagonists, Allison and Wil, escape to her village. Rather than turning them in to the hostile villagers, she makes a deal to have them escort her to the capital. This marks the beginning of her alliance with Allison, Wil, and the soldier Carr Benedict. The journey is successful, and she is able to publicly reveal her identity, leading to a confrontation with Nihito, who is ultimately killed. After reclaiming her status, her life changes course dramatically. She eventually marries Carr Benedict, the man who helped her, in a ceremony that takes place in the nation of Sou Beil.

However, even after integrating into the larger world, Francesca's past and lineage continue to define her journey. A significant development later reveals that her story is even more complex than it first appeared. It is disclosed that the woman known as Francesca is actually the twin sister of the original Princess Francesca. The real princess was being raised in a separate, secret location designed by the royal family to serve as a successor if the heir were to die. The character known throughout most of the story was the twin who was hidden away and protected in the village from the beginning. This revelation adds a layer of tragedy and confusion to her past, forcing both herself and those around her to re-evaluate her identity and her claim to the throne. This truth comes to light during a later predicament when she and her family are taken captive.
