Following the Jedi’s near-annihilation, Margrave Juro, ruler of Hy Izlan, lured self-proclaimed masterless Jedi to his aerial temple under the guise of gifting them newly forged lightsabers. Roden and his allies infiltrated the gathering as Jedi imposters, concealing their identities as Sith acolytes intent on assassinating Juro and eradicating surviving Jedi to stifle the Order’s resurgence.

At the temple’s climax, Juro unmasked their deception, having orchestrated the event to expose the infiltrators. Roden and his cohort clashed violently with Juro, his allies, and Kara—the lightsaber-smith’s daughter who delivered the weapons. The battle claimed five Sith acolytes, including Roden, while Homen, a surviving conspirator, renounced his Sith allegiance after confronting his corruption.

Roden wielded the rare red Force lightning, a signature of his dark side mastery. His mission was fueled by a calculated strategy to preserve Sith supremacy by crushing the Jedi’s fragile rebirth.
