TV-Series
Description
Desumi Magahara commands the villainous Secret Society Gekko as the Reaper Princess, pursuing world conquest. Following her parents' legacy as former Gekko members, she joined the organization reluctantly to honor her father's wishes. She manifested extraordinary superhuman strength early in life, accidentally defeating a karate dojo master and causing its closure. This same power emerged when she saved Haru Arisugawa from attackers during their school years, advising Haru to grow stronger.
She appears as a high school student with short blond hair swept left, green eyes, and long pink nails. Her Gekko Battle Gear is a dark blue or black demon-style outfit featuring bunny-like ears, thigh-high boots, and a skeleton mask, designed for intimidation and combat functionality.
Beneath her fearsome Reaper Princess persona lies a genuinely kind and self-sacrificing nature, though her immense strength often terrifies subordinates. She experiences jealousy, particularly when Fudo Aikawa, the heroic Red Gelato leader, attracts female attention. She acknowledges Fudo's loyalty but harbors insecurities about her suitability as his partner. This vulnerability surfaced when Fudo's participation in a bridal commercial with a celebrity caused her significant distress, leading to a temporary rift reconciled during a joint battle against Gekko's Ultimate Phantom monster.
Her relationship with Fudo drives her character development. Initially skeptical of his confession due to her romantic inexperience and negative self-view, she accepted his feelings after realizing his genuine understanding of her true self, partly gained through his avid following of her social media. Their secret romance necessitates constant concealment from their opposing organizations. Early interactions involved awkwardness, like refusing to hold hands normally, though they instinctively clasped hands during combat. Their bond deepened through shared experiences, including gym dates, snow hut rendezvous, and a pivotal school festival where they disguised themselves in hero and villain attire to take a commemorative photo at a "moon sculpture," symbolizing their status as an "invincible couple."
Familial relationships further shape her narrative. Her younger sister, Urami, initially saw Fudo as a corrupting influence on Desumi's strength, causing conflict until witnessing their mutual dedication. Daigo Todoroki, the Green Gelato, was her childhood martial arts mentor but developed PTSD from her uncontrollable power. Haru Arisugawa, the Pink Gelato, idolizes Desumi after being saved by her and fiercely protects Desumi and Fudo's relationship.
In combat, she utilizes three primary abilities: superhuman strength capable of sending opponents through concrete walls; hand-to-hand combat proficiency stemming more from brute force than technique; and high stamina enabling repeated powerful attacks despite exhaustion from her strongest moves. She is the only Gekko member to land a direct hit on Fudo and has never taken a hit in battle. Her development culminates in balancing dual loyalties, maintaining her Gekko role while secretly supporting Fudo. In the finale, she and Fudo combine forces to defeat Ultimate Phantom, an out-of-control Gekko creation, symbolizing their merged worlds. A residual baby form of the monster imprints on them as parental figures. They continue their covert romance, with Desumi publicly attacking Fudo after battles to maintain their cover.
Trivia includes her birthdate (March 18), the etymology of her name (combining "death" and "beautiful"), and design inspirations citing characters like Nai from *Mahou Sentai Magiranger* and Gwen Stacy. She declined a promotion to become a monster within Gekko.
