TV-Series
Description
Alan Claude is a seventeen-year-old student first introduced in the second act of the narrative, though he makes a brief cameo appearance in the first season. He was born on March 14 in the Edogawa district of Tokyo and has O blood type. Of Mexican-Japanese heritage, he is often referred to as a gaijin, a foreigner, and despite possessing a deep and well-rounded knowledge of Japanese history and culture, he speaks in broken English. He is a senior at St. Anastasia Academy, yet his circumstances are unusual as he appears to be a dropout and is homeless, living on the streets among the local vagrants.

On the surface, Alan presents himself as a comical and merry individual, always seen sporting dark sunglasses and a casual smirk. He possesses an exceptionally laid-back demeanor, and danger or threats rarely seem to faze him. However, beneath this carefree exterior lies a deeply thoughtful and melancholic personality. He tends to keep his thoughts and feelings to himself, sharing a certain introspective and somber quality with his close friend, Sera Rikudou. His role in the story becomes more prominent in the second season when he begins working part-time at Club Diva, an activity that serves as his formal introduction to the students from Magami Academy. He forms a significant bond with Sera Rikudou, particularly after she loses her memory following a confrontation with Tatsuma Hiyuu and the others, during which time he becomes a good friend to her.

Alan’s motivations are deeply intertwined with his secret identity and his understanding of the supernatural forces at play. He seems to comprehend the nature of the ongoing paranormal events far more than most other characters. He is actually the Vessel of the Azure Dragon, known as Seiryuu, and is aware of the immense power he holds. He describes himself as being akin to the wind, a fitting metaphor for his elusive and powerful nature. His development culminates in the final battle against Yagyuu, where he moves to protect Tatsuma Hiyuu. Appearing suddenly through a torrential wind, his arrival triggers the awakening of the Four Gods and the Golden Dragon. Alan alone seemed to possess the foreknowledge that his appearance would set this pivotal event into motion. In terms of notable abilities, as the vessel of Seiryuu, he wields significant power related to wind and storms. His heritage connects him to the larger lore of the series, as he is noted to be a descendant of Chris, an American cowboy character from the original Tokyo Majin Gakuen: Gehouchou video game.
