Ikuto Noguchi is one of the main human characters from the anime Digimon: Data Squad and the partner to the Digimon Falcomon. Unlike the other primary members of the Digital Accident Tactics Squad (DATS), Ikuto did not grow up in the human world. He was born to scientists Kenji and Misuzu Noguchi, but as an infant, he was accidentally transported to the Digital World through a gate. There, he was found and raised by a Frigimon, a snowy Digimon who became his adoptive mother. After Frigimon was killed, he was taken in and raised by the powerful Digimon known as Merukimon. Because of this upbringing, Ikuto initially believes himself to be a Digimon and has no memory of his human parents or his origin.

As a result of his traumatic past, Ikuto’s personality is defined by a deep-seated distrust and hatred for humanity. He is fiercely protective of the Digital World, viewing humans as an invasive, violent threat. This hatred is primarily fueled by the death of his adoptive mother, Frigimon, who was destroyed by the human scientist Akihiro Kurata during a genocidal attack on Digimon. This event left Ikuto emotionally scarred and convinced that all humans are evil. Despite his young age, he is a skilled and aggressive fighter, displaying a feral and impulsive nature. He is also naive about human society, possessing a wild, instinct-driven demeanor. He often refers to himself using "me" instead of standard pronouns, reflecting his unique speech patterns learned in the Digital World. Over time, however, he begins to question his beliefs as he encounters humans who show him kindness and honor, particularly the DATS leader Masaru Daimon.

Ikuto’s primary motivation throughout the story is to protect the Digital World from human interference and avenge the destruction of his Digimon family. His role in the narrative begins as an antagonist to the DATS team, whom he attacks upon their arrival in the Digital World. He serves as a wild card and a representative of the Digital World’s perspective, challenging the protagonists’ assumptions. As the series progresses, his role shifts from foe to ally. He is forced to enter the human world, where he discovers the truth about his biological parents. This revelation throws his identity into question, forcing him to reconcile his life as a Digimon with his human heritage. Eventually, he joins the DATS team to confront the common enemy, Kurata, and later Yggdrasil, fighting to create peace between humans and Digimon.

His key relationships are central to his development. His bond with Falcomon is that of siblings rather than simply partners; they were raised together and trust each other completely. His relationship with Masaru Daimon is particularly significant, as Masaru’s straightforward, honorable nature and willingness to fight alongside his Digimon cause Ikuto to see that not all humans are cruel. Merukimon acts as a stern adoptive father figure, teaching him to fight and defend the Digital World. His biological parents, Kenji and Misuzu Noguchi, and his younger sister, Yuka, represent the human life he lost and must learn to accept. His hatred for Kurata, the scientist who murdered Frigimon, is a constant driving force for his actions.

Throughout the series, Ikuto undergoes significant character development. He begins as a feral child who despises all humans and identifies completely as a Digimon. After learning his true origin and experiencing compassion from the DATS team, he enters a state of identity crisis. A pivotal moment occurs when his DigiSoul awakens upon hearing Merukimon’s final words, allowing him to evolve Falcomon to his Perfect (Ultimate) form. By the end of the series, he learns to accept both sides of his identity. He comes to love his human family while still honoring the memory of his Digimon mother, ultimately choosing to protect both worlds.

As a fighter, Ikuto mimics the movements of his ninja-like partner, Falcomon. He is extremely agile, capable of navigating forests and performing acrobatic attacks. He wields a large boomerang as his primary weapon and wears a cape and a feather necklace. Through his Digivice iC, he can channel his DigiSoul to evolve Falcomon through various forms, including Peckmon, Yatagaramon, and the Mega-level Ravemon. When his will is strong enough, he can also achieve Ravemon Burst Mode, a powerful final evolution. His combat abilities are formidable, and his instincts give him a unique edge in battle.
