Mimoret is a small, cat-like familiar who belongs to Kahlua Marjoram (and her alternate personality Tequila) in the anime Galaxy Angel Rune. In appearance, Mimoret resembles a black cat with no limbs; its entire body consists of a floating face adorned with catlike ears, whiskers, and shaded eyes. A red gem on its body is thought to connect it magically to Kahlua. It moves by floating through the air and is capable of speaking human language, making it a useful companion.

Mimoret was chosen as Kahlua’s familiar sometime after a traumatic incident in Kahlua’s past involving a friend named Mimolette Portoran, who had become deathly afraid of her. To ease that pain, Kahlua named her new familiar Mimoret, and the two have remained together ever since. This backstory gives Mimoret a symbolic role as a comfort and anchor for Kahlua.

In terms of personality, Mimoret is generally calm and quiet, though it often becomes the target of playful antics from another Rune Angel, Nano-Nano Pudding, who treats it like a toy. Mimoret does not seem to resent this treatment and remains a loyal, unobtrusive presence. Its primary motivation is to stay close to Kahlua and support her, whether in her gentle default state or in the more aggressive Tequila personality.

Within the story, Mimoret’s role is that of a familiar and companion rather than a frontline fighter. It is not a pilot or a major plot driver, but it adds to the magical atmosphere of the series and provides a tender connection to Kahlua’s past. The creature’s ability to speak allows it to interact with other characters, further integrating it into the group dynamic.

Mimoret does not undergo significant personal development over the course of the series, remaining a consistent, supportive figure throughout Galaxy Angel Rune and the related Galaxy Angel II games.
