Description
Hideaki Nakajima is the vice-president of the student council at the prestigious all-boys Bell Liberty Academy. Known for his tall stature, blue hair, and glasses, he presents a composed and logical demeanor. Beneath this collected exterior, he is a complex and secretive individual who operates as a shadowy power behind the council's president, often described as a devoted and supportive friend at heart despite being hard to read.

His personality is marked by a sharp contrast between his sense of logic, pride, and justice and a tendency toward coldness and manipulation. He is blunt and speaks only what he deems necessary, a trait that can come across as cruel or intimidating. He enjoys provoking reactions in others, sometimes going as far as manipulating them for his own amusement, which hints at a slightly sadistic edge. Despite this, he is someone who can be counted on, possessing a strong sense of duty and fantastic fighting skills in karate.

Motivationally, Nakajima is driven by a desire to maintain order and efficiency within the student council and the school at large. He is also known for forcing his work onto the president, whom he affectionately refers to as the King, as a way of sharing his workload. His confidence in his own abilities is high, and he does not hesitate to push aside anyone or anything that stands in his way, whether through intimidation or force.

In the story, Nakajima serves as a key figure in the student council, often remaining in the background while the president handles public appearances. He is frequently engaged in cyber warfare with the school's Asset Management Committee, showcasing his competence in technology and strategy. One of his most notable moments involves rescuing the protagonist from a locked supply shed and tending to his wound in a surprisingly intimate manner, an act that reflects his dual nature of coldness and hidden passion. He is also one of the few characters strong enough to open the heavy Heaven's Door.

His key relationship is with Student Council President Tetsuya Niwa. The two have been friends for a long time, though they were initially rivals. Nakajima acts as his loyal supporter and right-hand man, but their dynamic also includes playful teasing where he forces paperwork onto the president. His relationship with the protagonist, Keita Itou, is another focal point, with Nakajima alternately protecting him, tormenting him, and helping him find his path. In alternate storylines, Nakajima is depicted as Keita's primary love interest, where his difficulty in expressing emotions creates tension in their relationship.

Nakajima's development often revolves around learning to open up and trust others, moving away from his secretive nature to build genuine connections. He begins as a nearly unreadable figure but gradually reveals his devoted and protective side to those he cares about.

Aside from his academic and student council duties, he possesses notable abilities in karate, hacking, and physical strength. In his downtime, he enjoys listening to jazz and is a regular at a town pub, which he uses as a way to change paths from his usual routine. His birthday is November 19.
