ONA
Description
Paan-san, also written Pan-san, is a supporting character in Robot Girls Z+ who first appeared in the related Robot Girls Z ONLINE game. She is the personified form of Pansaroid, the horse-shaped support machine that accompanied the robot Steel Jeeg in its original series, and this origin shapes her close bond with Jeeg-san. When Team G is reformed and expanded to five members in Robot Girls Z+, Paan-san joins the group as an old friend of Jeeg-san.

She is a young woman with long dark blue hair reaching to her waist and blue eyes, and in some depictions her eyes are heterochromatic, much like Jeeg-san's. In ordinary life she works as a temporary agency employee and has the practical common sense of a working adult, but her personality also harbors a strong chuunibyou streak: she enjoys striking dramatic poses and delivering grandiose lines, such as declaring that everything she touches will be reduced to ash by an all-consuming karma. She is also a history enthusiast, sometimes called a rekijo, and is well versed in historical subjects, which she readily brings up in conversation.

Her most important relationship is with Jeeg-san. The two are longtime acquaintances who belong to the same doujinshi circle, where Jeeg-san is the featured creator and Paan-san acts as her devoted supporter. Paan-san takes on the complicated paperwork and organizational tasks, allowing Jeeg-san to concentrate on creative work, and she is also the one who introduced Jeeg-san to cosplay, opening up a new world of shared hobbies for both of them. Their partnership in battle mirrors their partnership in daily life and reflects the original pairing of the rider Steel Jeeg and its horse Pansaroid.

Within the story of Robot Girls Z+, Paan-san appears as part of the reformed Team G alongside Jeeg-san. During an encounter with the sky-themed enemy girl Grangen, she and Jeeg-san rush in as reinforcements and are caught up in the struggle before outside help turns the tide. The series' official story material singles her out, together with the character Bossko, as a surprising dark horse whose actions may decide the outcome of the battles in Nerima. Her screen time is limited, so her role is primarily that of a reliable ally who supports the main cast from within the expanded Team G.

Her notable abilities are presented in greatest detail in the game, where she fights with attacks named after her original machine, such as Pansaroid Missile, along with techniques like Spin Storm, Jeeg Lancer, and Magnet Power. She also makes props and costumes for her hobbies, including a homemade spear created for cosplay that she cannot actually carry because long weapons are prohibited. In the game she has alternate outfits and even a dragon-themed variant introduced through a special event.

Paan-san's development is modest within the anime itself, where she functions as a dependable side character whose loyalty and practical support define her. Her characterization is fleshed out through companion material, which shows her balancing an ordinary job with her enthusiasm for history, role-play, and helping Jeeg-san. The combination of a sensible working attitude with a love for theatrical self-expression gives her a distinctive presence as both a fighter and a friend.
