Description
Natsuki Nitou is a main character in the film The Anthem of the Heart. She is a popular high school student known for her role as the captain of the cheerleading club and as a natural leader among the girls in her class. She stands out for her good communication skills, kind personality, and stylish appearance. She has long black hair and purple eyes and is typically seen wearing her school uniform.

At first glance, her life appears nearly perfect, as she has good grades, good looks, and a circle of friends. However, beneath this polished surface, she struggles with inner conflicts that she does not openly share. Like several of her classmates, she carries unresolved feelings and is troubled by matters of love. A significant source of this distress comes from her past. Before the events of the story, she was in a relationship with Takumi Sakagami during middle school. A month after they began dating, Takumi overheard her harshly deny that they were a couple when a classmate asked. This led him to break up with her, and the mistake has continued to haunt her, influencing her actions and affecting her ability to be honest about her emotions.

As the story progresses, Natsuki is selected to participate in a musical production alongside Jun Naruse, Takumi Sakagami, and Daiki Tasaki. Through this collaborative effort, she is gradually drawn out of her emotional shell. Her role in the story is that of a character who must learn to confront her past regrets and find the courage to express her true feelings. Her interactions with the other main characters, particularly with Takumi, push her toward personal growth. By the end of the film, she begins to open up and move past the fear and shame that have held her back, and it is hinted that she and Takumi rekindle their relationship.

Her notable abilities are not supernatural but rather social and personal. She is skilled in cheerleading and possesses strong communication skills in casual settings, yet her defining challenge is learning to apply that same confidence to her innermost feelings. Her development centers on overcoming her fear of vulnerability and finding the bravery to speak honestly from the heart.
