Description
Kazuki Jōshima serves as the homeroom teacher for Jun Naruse and her classmates, and he is the faculty advisor for the school's Community Outreach Event committee. He is a supporting character whose actions set the film's central plot into motion.

As an educator, Jōshima is presented as a laid-back and somewhat eccentric individual who maintains a calm and understanding demeanor toward his students. He demonstrates a genuine interest in their well-being and growth, recognizing that each of the four students he selects for the committee is dealing with personal struggles.

His primary role in the story is to act as a catalyst for change. He is the one who assigns Jun, Takumi Sakagami, Natsuki Nitō, and Daiki Tasaki to the Community Outreach Event committee, pushing them to work together despite their initial reluctance. He also proposes that the class put on a musical for their school festival performance, an ambitious idea that forces the committee members to collaborate and confront their individual emotional conflicts. Jōshima’s motivation comes from a belief in his students' potential and a desire to help them find their voices, literally in Jun's case and metaphorically for the others. While he avoids overt interference, his guidance and encouragement from the background provide the necessary framework for the students' journey of self-discovery. He fosters an environment where they can take the lead, allowing them to grow through their own efforts in creating the musical.

His key relationships are professional and mentor-like with the four main student characters. He does not have a personal storyline but functions as a supportive adult figure who trusts them to resolve their own problems. Over the course of the film, Jōshima does not undergo significant personal development himself, as his purpose is to facilitate the transformation of his students. His notable ability lies in his perceptiveness and his quiet, effective method of guiding his students toward a challenging yet therapeutic project without forcing them.
