Marin Nijihara is a character from the anime Magikano. She is a Catholic witch hunter who believes that the main male protagonist, Haruo Yoshikawa, was sent from heaven and therefore needs her protection from witches, particularly the witch Ayumi Mamiya. Despite her self-appointed role as a defender against evil magic, Marin is extremely clumsy and incompetent, often injuring herself more than any of the witches she pursues in her attacks. She frequently justifies her actions and inconsistencies with the mantra that she acts in the name of the Lord, displaying a zealous and sometimes hypocritical attitude.
