Known as Doc, this Haitian ripperdoc runs a clinic in Santo Domingo's Arroyo industrial sector. He possesses light gray eyes with bright red sclera, chin-length white hair, and a prominent goatee. His lean, athletic frame features defined musculature. Doc favors minimalist Entropist style, typically seen in surgical goggles, white cargo pants, and sandals, consistently shirtless. Doc operates a legitimate surgical practice installing cybernetic implants by day, while his clinic doubles as a hub for illicit activities: black-market cyberware, braindance distribution, software piracy, drug sales, and other contraband. He first meets David Martinez when David visits to browse cyberware. Their relationship evolves from acquaintance to business associate; Doc exposes David to extreme braindances featuring graphic violence and sexual content. Later, Doc sells David a corrupted bootleg software update for Arasaka Academy, causing system damage and increasing financial and emotional strain on David and his mother, Gloria. After Gloria’s death, David attempts to sell Doc a military-grade Sandevistan. Doc offers only a fraction of its value, citing its black-market status, and reduces his offer further in subsequent negotiation, deepening David’s frustration. When David opts to self-implant the Sandevistan, Doc agrees to perform the surgery for free, stipulating he reclaims the implant if David’s biology rejects it. During this, Doc deliberately withholds critical information about necessary immunosuppressant drugs, later discovered by David’s ally, Lucy. Despite the Sandevistan’s compatibility, Doc continues providing David's cyberware upgrades, eventually comparing David’s enhanced body to Adam Smasher's. In their final meeting, David seeks help for escalating cyberpsychosis symptoms. Doc advises downgrading implants, triggering David’s rage fueled by cyberware addiction and resentment over Doc’s exploitative financial history. After David assaults him, Doc reluctantly supplies requested drugs but warns they offer only temporary relief and David's path leads inevitably to cyberpsychosis and death. Doc occasionally patches mercenaries like Screw from Dino Dinovic’s crew. His personal habits include using public pleasure devices and engaging in virtual sex simulations, reflecting hedonistic tendencies.
