Movie
Description
Moegi is a half-demon child who lives on Hōrai Island, the setting of InuYasha the Movie 4: Fire on the Mystic Island. She is one of six half-demon orphans left on the island after the Four War Gods attacked years earlier, along with Asagi, Dai, Roku, Shion, and Ai. Like the other children, Moegi bears the Mark of the Shitōshin, a set of four scars on her back placed there by the War Gods to prevent her from ever leaving the island. She is very young and small, with olive green hair tied into two ponytails that rest on her shoulders, secured with tan-orange bands. Her bangs stop just above her eyebrows, and her eyes are also green. She has pale skin.

Moegi's personality is not extensively developed in the film, but as a young child trapped in a terrifying situation, she appears timid and fearful. She looks to the older children, especially Asagi, for guidance and protection. Her primary motivation is survival and the hope of one day being free from the island and the curse of the scars. She does not have any leadership role among the group; instead, she follows the lead of the older half-demons.

In the story, Moegi appears alongside the other children when Inuyasha and his companions arrive on Hōrai Island after rescuing Ai. The children have been living in hiding, constantly threatened by the Four War Gods, who intend to sacrifice them to the Cauldron of Resonance to regain their power. Moegi is present during the scenes in the village and during the final battles. She does not actively fight; her role is to be part of the vulnerable group that needs to be saved. Her most significant moment comes at the end of the film, when the combined efforts of Kagome and Inuyasha destroy the final War God and break the curse. The four scars on her back vanish, and she is finally free to leave the island.

Moegi's key relationships are with the other half-demon children, particularly Asagi, who acts as a protective older sister figure. She also interacts briefly with Inuyasha and his group, but her main connection is to her fellow captives. Over the course of the movie, Moegi experiences a shift from hopeless captivity to liberation, though she remains a passive character whose development is tied to the group's collective fate. She does not display any notable combat abilities or unique powers; as a half-demon, she may possess some innate demonic traits, but these are not shown or mentioned in the film. Her existence serves to highlight the suffering inflicted by the Four War Gods and the stakes of the heroes' mission. After the island's destruction, she and the other children temporarily stay at Kaede's village before setting out to pursue their own freedom.
