Description
Albedo Piazzolla is a central antagonist in Xenosaga: The Animation. He is identified as U.R.T.V. Unit 667, a bio-engineered being created as a weapon against a mysterious phenomenon known as U-DO. His physical appearance is notable for his white hair and violet or gray eyes.
Albedo’s background is rooted in tragedy and artificial creation. He was originally a conjoined twin with his brother Rubedo, and their separation granted them unique abilities. Unlike his brother, who can control his aging, Albedo possesses the power of rapid cellular regeneration, making him effectively immortal. This immortality, however, is the core of his psychological torment. The realization that his beloved brother is mortal and will one day die while he cannot drove him to severe mental instability from a young age. His sanity was further shattered by direct contact with U-DO during the Miltian Conflict, an event that plunged him into complete madness.
