Description
Lilica Evette is the newest member of the Warriors, a secret police team operating within the Tokyo Metropolitan Police. Her background begins in another country where she was part of a specialized telepath program. When that program was shut down, she was confined to a secure facility due to the dangerous nature of her psychic abilities. She was later recruited by the Warriors’ commander, giving her a new purpose.

By nature, Lilica is shy, insecure, and slightly clumsy. Having spent most of her life in isolation, she lacks many of the social skills that develop from being around others. She is uncertain of herself and often nervous in new situations. However, when she drinks alcohol, her inhibitions drop dramatically and she becomes uninhibited and somewhat daffy, leading to unpredictable, sometimes embarrassing behavior.

Her primary motivation is to belong and to use her abilities to help her team. She deeply admires her teammate Rio Kinezono, addressing her with the honorific “sempai.” Positive interactions with Rio and the other Warriors gradually boost her confidence.

Within the story, Lilica serves as the psychic support for the Warriors. Her presence is kept secret from most of the police department, though she wears the team’s uniform. Because of the risk her powers pose, she is initially outfitted with magnetic restraints on her wrists and ankles, equipment usually reserved for the most dangerous criminals. As she grows more comfortable with her teammates and begins to trust them, her powers increase, and these restraints become unnecessary.

Lilica’s abilities are varied and mostly psychic in nature. She uses a modified telepathic dowsing technique with a crystal pendant to locate criminals or predict crimes by sweeping a map. She can also telepathically scan a room, using clue words to pick up impressions from people’s thoughts. Another ability is a form of automatic drawing, in which seemingly meaningless scribbles contain clues to a crime or upcoming event. Under extreme stress, additional, less controlled powers can surface, sometimes at inconvenient moments.

Her key relationships are with Rio Kinezono, whom she looks up to and tries to emulate, and to a lesser extent with the other Warriors, Maya Jingu and the commander. Through these connections, Lilica experiences notable character development, moving from a withdrawn, insecure individual to a more confident and capable member of the team, with her powers maturing as she gains emotional stability.
