Description
Shō Onoda leads the idol unit ROCK DOWN under TSUKINO TALENT PRODUCTION. He has collar-length light gray hair with long bangs and light gray eyes that fade to brown near the top. Standing 175 cm tall, his elegant appearance often leads others to mistake him for having expensive tastes, though he describes his own preferences as ordinary and lacks strong feelings about most things.

His personality blends grace with a childlike innocence. Frequently seeming lost in his own world due to a unique upbringing, he occasionally displays lapses in common sense. He speaks with gentle yet straightforward words that carry surprising impact. Described as air-headed yet kind, Shō charms others with his pure demeanor while possessing hidden determination. Once fixated on a goal or hobby, he exhibits persistent focus, often subtly. Childhood challenges in expressing emotions led to self-described "difficult to handle" behavior until discovering the violin, which became his emotional outlet. During high school, he isolated himself before extended travel abroad fostered greater openness. He retains a vivid imagination, curiosity about unconventional topics, and clumsiness in daily tasks. He struggles significantly with waking up, requiring consistent help.

Globally renowned as a classical violinist from a young age, Shō performed internationally with long stays abroad. Initially concerned audiences prioritized his looks over music, he later joined the VAZZROCK project. Starting in 2018, he balanced ongoing classical concerts with idol activities. This dual career continues through documented timelines up to 2021, showing increasing focus on unit collaborations while maintaining violin performances. His musical contributions include solo tracks like "Shining visions" and duets like "Endless Night" with Gaku Oguro, featured on character CDs such as the 2021 release "ONODA SHOU-diamond×hematite- Hoshifuru Oka de," which includes drama tracks exploring relationships.

Relationships shape his development. Within ROCK DOWN, Haruto Kujikawa is his closest confidant, their bond forged in pre-unit friendship. They share mutual comfort, playful reciprocity, and deep respect—Haruto protects Shō's hands and masters waking him, while Shō holds private violin concerts for Haruto, describing him as "feeling like home." With Reiji Amaha, Shō engages in relaxed teasing, recognizing Reiji as the unit's "sexy representative" and naming a cactus gift after him. He supports Ayumu Tachibana's health concerns and mediates Ayumu's conflicts with Reiji, earning Ayumu's admiration as a leader. He appreciates Gaku Oguro's cooking and caretaking tendencies, though Gaku fails at morning wake-up attempts. Shō finds Luca Nazumi's energetic antics endearing. Beyond the unit, he maintains privacy about personal space but gradually grows more open over time. He also adores the unit's pet cat, Rock.

Shō's journey reflects progression from an isolated violinist to an integrated idol leader, maintaining artistic integrity while learning communal engagement. This evolution is demonstrated through his unit interactions and documented activities in drama tracks, songs, and animated appearances focusing on these dynamics.
