Description
Tamakorogashi, also known as Hecate, is a character from the anime The Melody of Oblivion. She is recognized as the third-most featured monster within the story and is distinguished by her calculating and strategic nature. One of her notable early actions is scouting the union agent Hustle Monkey, indicating her role in identifying and recruiting key figures for the monsters' purposes.

She typically appears in the guise of a young woman with striking red eyes and green hair that is styled into pigtails. Her hair is secured by hair clips shaped like bowling balls, a clear nod to her particular obsession. Her attire often includes sunglasses, a v-neck top that reveals her midriff, pants, and a belt. She is almost always accompanied by a ferocious black dog that acts as her guardian and is likely a part of her true form. This connection to a black dog reinforces her association with the name Hecate, as black dogs were historically sacrificed to the Greek witch-goddess of the same name.

Tamakorogashi has a pronounced fondness for bowling and prefers to play in a custom-built alley of her own creation, which is constructed out of hearses. Her abilities are intrinsically tied to this sport. She possesses the power to transform her victims into bowling balls, which she then organizes by weight to ensure a comfortable grip when she throws them. Whether the bowling pins are similarly created from people is not known. Furthermore, those who witness her balls and pins are assaulted by harrowing visions of the people they have wronged in their past.

Within the narrative, she is also known by the epithet "Ball-Roller". Her calculated demeanor and unique abilities make her a formidable and unsettling presence. She met with the monster known as Pan at the Parthenon, where he addressed her as Hecate, highlighting her established identity among other monsters.
