Description
Dalia, more commonly known by her English name Daisy, is a character from the Pokémon anime who appears prominently in Pokémon Chronicles. The name Dalia originates specifically from the Spanish dub of Pokémon Chronicles, where it was mistakenly used as her name, likely due to confusion with the character Daisy Oak. Regardless of the name used, this character is the eldest of the three older sisters of the Gym Leader Misty, and she resides with her family in Cerulean City in the Kanto region.

Dalia is a young woman with long, wavy blonde hair and green eyes. Her typical outfit consists of a pink sweater over a black shirt with an orange bow, paired with a beige skirt and light blue sneakers, and she often wears a flower accessory in her hair. When participating in the water ballet performances at the Cerulean Gym, she wears a red swimsuit, and she has also been seen wearing a prince costume for a special aquatic ballet show.

In terms of personality, Dalia is cheerful and somewhat absent-minded, but also carries an air of glamour and enjoys activities like shopping. Her most defining trait is a strong aversion to Pokémon battles. She finds battling to be a hassle and much prefers the performance and spectacle of water shows over the responsibilities of running a official Pokémon Gym. This lack of interest in her duties as a Gym Leader makes her quite irresponsible; on one occasion, she was prepared to give a Gym Badge to a trainer without a battle simply to avoid the inconvenience, and she has even suggested to Misty that they should just hand out Badges to all waiting trainers. She has a particular fondness for Ash Ketchum, greeting him warmly and telling him to "never change," while she tends to be indifferent towards his companion Brock.

Dalia's role in the story is primarily tied to her position at the Cerulean Gym. She is one of the Sensational Sisters, the four sisters who run the Gym dedicated to Water-type Pokémon. She and her other sisters, Violet and Lily, were left in charge of the Gym when Misty left on her journey. However, they often neglected their battling responsibilities in favor of performing water ballet shows for the public. Later, they won a trip around the world and called Misty back to Cerulean City to take over as the official Gym Leader. Even after their return, Dalia and her sisters typically only fill in when Misty is away, as she remains the Gym's primary leader.

Her key relationships are centered on her family. She is the oldest sister, and out of the three older sisters, she is the one who gets along best with Misty. Despite this, she and her sisters can be dismissive of Misty's abilities, often telling her that she is the least impressive of them. This dynamic shifts as time goes on, with Misty proving herself to be a far more capable battler than her sisters anticipated. In the Pokémon Chronicles episodes, Dalia shows some development, becoming slightly more responsible and willing to help Misty with Gym duties. She also demonstrates that she can be a capable battler when the situation demands it, fighting alongside her sister against antagonistic forces like Team Rocket. In one notable adventure, she adopted a persona of a tough, reckless driver named High-Speed Hannah to rescue her Luvdisc, showing a hidden daring side to her personality.

Despite her general dislike for battling, Dalia does possess some notable abilities, particularly in the area of coordination and performance, where she directs and participates in elaborate water shows. She has also shown competence in Pokémon battling during emergencies. Her known Pokémon include a Luvdisc named Luverin, which is somewhat proud and wears a small crown. She and her sisters also share the care of several other Water-type Pokémon that live in the Gym's pool, including a Seel that evolved into a Dewgong, a Seaking, a Goldeen, and a Shellder. She is also capable of piloting a raft when necessary.
