TV-Series
Description
Anna Hōjo is a high school student attending the same school as other Princess Series members, acting under orders from the Secret Society Gekko. Her flamboyant style and constant rule-breaking isolate her, as fearful classmates avoid her. This isolation breaks when Desumi Magahara offers a warm smile and befriends her, sparking romantic feelings in Anna.
Driven by these feelings, Anna attempts to blackmail Fudo Aikawa into ending his relationship with Desumi. Fudo rejects her demands except for kissing her hand, leaving Anna embarrassed. When they later meet again and Fudo mistakenly assumes her interest is in him, Anna accidentally confesses her true feelings for Desumi. This shared affection for Desumi forges an unexpected bond between Anna and Fudo, though Anna firmly states she won't abandon her pursuit. She hints at possessing a "trump card" making her closer to Desumi than Fudo—her secret identity as a fellow Gekko Princess, unknown even to Desumi.
At a Princesses' sleepover organized by Desumi, Anna participates wearing her helmet to hide her identity. Seated beside Desumi, she clings tightly to her, causing Kiki Majima to question their closeness. During the school's Kokutei Festival, Anna tries to lure Desumi to the "Kokutei Moon," a spot legendary for eternally binding couples who take photos there. Desumi evades her by calling the school nurse, Kira Sanzugawa (Blood Princess), to intervene. Their confrontation erupts into a physical fight that demolishes the nurse's office, leaving both exhausted and sitting back-to-back.
As a Gekko executive, Anna witnesses the creation of the Ultimate Phantom. When the Phantom attacks Gekko's leader, Anna and other Princesses retaliate unsuccessfully. The Phantom destroys Gekko's base and departs. Anna and the others later watch the broadcasted battle between the Phantom and Gelato 5, culminating in Fudo and Desumi's victory.
Serving as Gekko's Heat Princess, Anna wields the special move M・Y・K, firing blasts of fire from burners in her hands. Her suit incorporates a jetpack, granting flight capability.
Anna's primary motivation throughout is her unrequited love for Desumi Magahara.
Her name Anna (闇奈) combines "dark/darkness, opaque, illegal, shady" (闇) and "apple tree" (奈). Her surname Hōjo (宝条) means "treasure, jewel" (宝) and "article" (条).
