Description
Doppo Orochi is the founder of the powerful Shinshinkai karate organization and the creator of his own style, known as Orochi-ryu Karate. Standing 178 centimeters tall and weighing 110 kilograms, he is a muscular and imposing figure, instantly recognizable by his bald head, the black eyepatch covering his right eye, and prominent scars on his right cheek and near his left eye. These physical marks are permanent reminders of his most brutal encounters. He holds several formidable titles within the martial arts world, including the God of War, the Tiger Slayer, and the Man-Eating Python, all of which speak to his legendary reputation as a fighter of immense skill and ferocity.
In his youth, Doppo earned the title of Tiger Slayer by defeating a fearsome Siberian tiger with his bare hands, a feat that solidified his status as a living legend. This act was a product of the arrogance of youth, a decision he later reflects on with regret due to its senselessness and the extreme danger it posed even to him. The character of Doppo Orochi was inspired by Masutatsu Oyama, the real-life founder of Kyokushin Karate, who was also known for similar feats of strength and his own battles with bulls.
